Conditions We Treat

  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

CRPS is a chronic pain condition most often affecting one limb, usually after an injury. Characterized by severe pain, swelling, and changes in the skin, it may occur when a high-intensity signal is sent to an affected limb from the central nervous system.

  • Cervical and Lumbar Radiculopathy

Radiculopathy refers to a range of symptoms produced by the pinching of a nerve root in the spinal column. This can result in pain, weakness, numbness, or difficulty controlling specific muscles. Cervical radiculopathy affects the neck, while lumbar radiculopathy involves the lower back.

  • Peripheral Neuropathy

This condition results from damage to the peripheral nerves, causing weakness, numbness, and pain, typically in the hands and feet. It can be caused by traumatic injuries, infections, metabolic problems, inherited causes, and exposure to toxins.

  • Migraines

Chronic migraines are characterized by intense, debilitating headaches occurring for 15 or more days per month. These headaches are often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound.

  • Osteoporotic Compression Fractures

These fractures occur when a vertebra in the spine collapses due to the weakening of bones from osteoporosis. Symptoms include sudden back pain, loss of height, and a hunched posture.

  • Facet Arthropathy

Facet arthropathy refers to a degenerative condition affecting the facet joints in the spine, which can lead to chronic back pain. These joints are critical in providing stability and enabling motion. Pain arises from inflammation, degeneration, or stress on these joints, often exacerbated by movements like twisting or bending.

  • Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease, often causing chronic pain due to the breakdown of cartilage in joints. It commonly affects weight-bearing joints like the knees and hips, as well as the hands, lower back, and neck.

  • Post Laminectomy Syndrome

Post laminectomy syndrome, also known as failed back surgery syndrome, refers to persistent pain following back surgery. This condition can be due to a variety of factors, including spinal nerve damage, scar tissue, joint instability, or muscle deconditioning.
